Weather permitting we are looking to go across the simplon pass heading from Switzerland . Looking for a recommendation for a campsite in spitting distance of the start ( brig?) .

Suggestions welcome

We went that way in September but stayed before at Lauterbrunnen. At the end of the drive though, I can recommend Camping Solcio on Lake Maggiore, ACSI and a nice little beach , restaurant/bar etc and a bus to Sestra which is worth a wander around.

We stayed at Lake Lamont after travelling from the opposite direction. Great campsite at Lake Orta when you get over the Simplon Pass

We stayed at this place after going over from Italy back in April.
https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/marker.php?id=31897

It's about 35 miles from Brig.
Stunning views and only 10 euros.
The entrance wasn't signed posted too good, so if you want directions just let me know.
The pass was the most stunning drive I've ever done, back in April there was snow everywhere but the roads were spotless!

I could probably do with some directions if you don’t mind Next Stop
Basically ignore the search 4 sites coordinates, they are for the car park but not the entrance.
Use the ones below, if you come from the left then you might have to do a three point turn to sweep around but there is plenty of space. The car park is huge so you shouldn't have a problem as over night I imagine it is quite empty.
It is such a peaceful spot and the views across the mountains are stunning. When we arrived it was late and the information centre was closed but on the door was information regarding an app to pay.
There is a service point, water and waste, and toilets (although the toilets are only available when the info centre is open).

Brigerbad if it’s open, right next to the thermal baths and 5mjns from the start of the lower pass

Five years plus three tugging
Did it in August. Italy to Swiss route, from Lago Maggiore to Lac Leman.

Loads of traffic light road works on blind corners, smoked my brakes and had to stop and let them cool. We were towing a non-braked trailer. Never again. But plenty of places to stop and pull over to get busy with the camera.

The actual route is charming, with great views.

LOL Good ol' Google Maps!
Co-Pilot managed to get us up there with no problem, but we had to use Google maps coming back down as we needed directions to a cashpoint, the route was, how shall I put it? "Interesting".
Glad you made it, I'm sure you got good use out of those Binoculars(y)
