I wonder if any of the learned folk on here are able to help me with this one please. We now have an A-Class motorhome, and whilst being delighted with it overall, I am struggling with this one issue. The glare coming in to the cab and onto the inside of the side windows is making it very difficult for me to see the rear view mirrors. Particularly so at this time of the year with the low sunlight.
Is it just me, or is this a common problem? Also, are there any solutions available?
Thanks.

If only you could have the front blind down when driving!
Don't know why, but seems to affect some worse than others, I've had it before where the view out of both sides has been totally obscured.

I do lower the front blind when the sun is low, great for easing the view, strain on the eyes and just being able to see better.

I think some vans have a coating on the mirror glass (bluish tint) and i think that may be what‘s causing/worsening the reflections.

Took the van for it‘s monthly winter spin today, nice and sunny and here‘s an example of the reflection mentioned in this thread:

Exactly like mine was. The bits of black perspex do the same as your blind. But, I can still drive forwards! I was out again today and it is perfect now. No reflection into the mirrors. The sun, when it was out, as at all angles today.

Update. We have just arrived at Portsmouth with the last hour or so in the dark. Absolutely no reflection at all through the side windows in the area where I have the screens. The view from the rear view mirrors is perfect. No glare at all.

I've been looking at new vans over the last few days, and it seems the problem is far worse on those vans with "flat" glass, and made worse with double glazing, looked at a hymer 780, which has curved single glazed panels and there seemed minimal reflection.
It would be interesting to see if those suffering reflections have flat or curved glass, and/or double glazing.

Ours, Hymer B-MCI 690 has flat tinted double glazed glass and it was a nightmare until I put these screens up. They have totally solved it.
