Rally Shrewsbury VINTAGE show 23rd-28th June 2022

The brown route will require you to go under the bridge on your return journey as it is part of the one way system. There are two lanes under it as you can see from the map above and you would need to straddle them to get through safely. I cannot remember the actual height limit of the bridge as we have never needed to try and go through it with our van but will check next time I drive through and post on here. Tbh I have never heard of a motorhome getting stuck but a lot of lorries have.
The sign on the bridge says 3.3m so I would not be taking our 3.6m Palace through, a lot of vans would be OK though you are right.

I will put you on the main list, see post #182 for booking/paying details.
thanks so much, ive sent the email to jan

weve just sold our business so free at last and looking forward to only our second meet - nice that you had a last minute space.

ps perhaps we can have that long awaited reunion Scout

Hi, I had forgotten all about this and didn't even know I was on the list but I'm afraid we won't be there, sorry if it upsets the plan, since we got back from France we havnt had a minute and what with tractor runs, jubilee, weddings and not to mention haymaking, we don't look like having any free time till September when we are again hoping to do the big one.
Once again sorry I didn't get back to you.

No problem Chas (y) you are off the list. Tobe fair I think you went on the list when you thought there might be tractors there

I have been in conversation with Martin and we have agreed to put out soundings amongst attendees about evening entertainment or otherwise.

I will already have sound and lighting gear there from an earlier event. Is there any interest in any of the following please?

1. Quiz?
2. Music in the evenings?
3. Live music if any musicians are coming?
4. Puzzle and or (fake) Meccano evening.
5. Halfway to Christmas party on Saturday night 25th with possible Jacobs Table?

We have crackers etc we bought for New Year that fell foul to Covid we could bring and use. Folks could choose for themselves whether to attire accordingly. Or do we just make it a midsummer party night?

Or would the majority rather relax an chat in groups around the vans?

No rights or wrongs here and Martin is happy that we organise anything folks wish to do and I am equally happy to do nothing.

Over to you Funsters attending.

PS. To avoid clouding the genuine responses, could I please ask that only attendees respond.

ditto but would like to add I do like a glass or two of wine, for medicinal purposes you will understand, but I 'll generally go with the flow

More than happy with just some background music, if there any musicians who want to play even better.
Ref Jacobs table not for me. Following the huge amount that got threw in the bin after Newark and comments I have heard on other rallies it seems better just for small groups to take those own "nibbles" ..

Music fine by me, all of it, just listening so no dancing for me. A bring your own food event where we all get together is great, can't comment on the last funster one but just been to another groups Jacobs table. Tons of cake left over, with lots of stuff my diet could not cope with, so I prefer a take your own or not evening. Quite willing to join in with anything ordered to be brought in but others often don't like that. Games are great as long as not physical, the brain games give everyone else a great chance of winning :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have a few picture quizzes that can just be done in groups while people sit and chat they can even use their phones to cheat, well they were going to anyway, or they can just totally ignore the pictures and keep chatting.

We have done them before but a different group of people mostly so saves me doing them all again.

I will stick them in anyway.
