Couple of lifejackets (buoyancy aids) might be a good idea Janine, somebody might fancy wearing a rubber suit but wether they go in the river or nor is up to them and we certainly won't tell

Up to 6 nights on the show ground at Shrewsbury.

Being next to the River Severn it would be rude not to take canoes and have a little mess about on/in the river, if there are enough takers we could organise a river trip again in hired Canadien Canoes, other than that it is just a social gathering with a pleasant riverside walk into a beautiful town, the show ground also have the fishing rights but I know nothing about fishing seasons etc and keep your hooks away from my inflatable

We have had a rally here previously to coincide with the Family vintage show but sadly this has been cancelled again for this year, we have provisionally booked space for 30-40 vans but they are usually quite flexible with space.

Electric hook up will be available so please just for starters indicate that you are interested in attending and yes/no to electric, I will then post the per night cost and booking details at a later date, also indicate if you are bringing some sort of canoe/kayak and wether you would be interested in a organised trip in hire canoes, no previous experience is required for the canoe trip.

If any groups want to pitch together and do their own activities knitting and nattering, crotchet and nattering or just nattering that will be fine just say, it's your rally so do whatever you want within reason and in the spirit of Fun.

Obviously all of the above depends on the prevailing Covid-19 rules and regulation at the time so things could change.

If you look at post #5, the rally is showing as full with 7 people on the reserve list but anything can happen in the next 3 months

I have been into the office at the Showground, when you book it will be direct with Jan in the office, I have just had a chat and Jan said start booking middle of May.

I will post a reminder then and repeat that if you can’t get an answer on the phone just drop them an email manager@westmidshowground.com and give your phone number and she will get back to you.

it’s lovely and sunny here at the moment so that would be nice.

£12 per night or £17 with leccy, as they are a charity I didn’t have the heart to knock them down and it is a lovely spot.

It is 5 nights max but flexible so you can do as many as you want I imagine if anybody wanted to stay on longer that could be arranged with the showground office but the rally will finish mid day Wednesday.

Hi Martin, a friend has invited me to go to her mobile static caravan mid-Wales 1st - 7th July so please could you take my name off the reserve list. If I definitely had a place I would have told her I was not free as I absolutely love Shrewsbury. Hopefully, next time - I will check the rally list more often. Have a good time.
