Shower tray protection

See my post #18 above, I use the waffle shower matting and a turtle type rug cut to shape on top, the waffle stuff protects the shower from being marked by the rug and the rug stops dust, gravel etc from our shoes dropping through onto the tray. This also means that when we use the shower we don't have to spend ages cleaning the tray first.

I have this shower room matting in grey. I was able to purchase 50 x 60 cm at reasonable price but a metre is £24

Hi we are collecting our new motorhome soon. We have a wet room where we have to step on the shower tray to get to the loo. The tray is an obscure shape. I'm thinking we need to protect the shower tray and wonder what ideas you have?

I cover the shower tray with a bath mat, one of those plastic washable efforts, just cut it to size. Then I have a bamboo shower duckboard which is still good after 5 years. Does not soak in water and only very minor mould. I remove it when using the shower and stand on the bath mat only.
