Shower hose with 3/8" female and 1/2" female ends (1 Viewer)

We have a shower with a mixer that is concealed behind a wall, the tap is surface mounted in the shower. The shower hose goes through the wall to the mixer unit through an angled chromed fitting with a hole that is too small to take a 1/2" female end.

We have a problem with sourcing a shower hose with 3/8" female to 1/2" female ends. The van converter can supply one at over £100, anyone know where to source one??

3/8 to 1/2 inch elbows are common in plumbing but not sure what you need?

Plus is there an access hatch on the other side of shower wall?

Plenty of adaptors available on Amazon or from plumbers merchants, Screwfix etc.

Yes there is access to the other side of the wall to the mixer unit, to enable the 3/8" end to be attached to the mixer unit.

What’s the distance from the mixer to where you can make a connection with the 1/2” nut of a standard hose? If it’s not too far then a 3/8” female female coupler plus a nipple might get you to where you can use a 1/2” to 3/8” reducer.

Thanks, but I need a flexible coupling to fit through the wall fitting and attach to the mixer unit.

You know of course that a lot of domestic plumbing is 15mm, not much different than 1/2 inch but, perhaps enough to make a difference?

You can get reducers 15mm to 3/8.
