Sorry MichaelT but I didn't realise that you haven't quite got the hang of it. Most of us on forum know that what you do when you want to visit an Aire is to take your motorhome with you by road.
But you posted about a slipway as a feature to launch a boat, I've got a motorhome but no boat so why would I want a slipway?

I could lend you a kayak if you promise not to drag it along the road!

I'd put this in the wrong 'aires' thread so copied it here

Canoves.
Free overnight stop. There was a market next to here the night we stayed, bread being made at one stall, several others selling local cheeses and wines.

Fay de Bretagne

Nice place next to a couple of lakes with a service area next to the toilet block.

Nice sign by the Mayor to encourage using the local shops which will be hard on a Sunday but well endeavour to find a bar open😀

Myself and Wendo55 stayed here in 2024. Beaumont-le-Roger, France. Lovely newish Aire very clean with services including some free EHU points. Short walk in to a very nice town but we got a shock ordering 2 beers costing €16 after being used to Benidorm prices. The bar was also a newsagent, tobacconists come PO come all sorts really.

scousebird great idea for a thread, thank you.

Tréguier Aire overlooking the tidal River Guindy. No facilities other than rubbish skips but walk to the entrance and turn right up the hill, passing a shop on your left selling provisions, walk

Sorry, I didn't take my own photo, but this is a great free aire with big, marked-out pitches and services paid by jeton.
A lovely walk to the nearby village of Gerberoy - very convenient for Dieppe ferry.

We stayed on this Free Aire it’s on the edge of a park, water, hook up and drive over waste. The Monastery was worth a visit.

Saint Nicolas De Bliquetuit is right close to the Seine not far from Rouen, it's nice to just sit there and watch the big boats go by.

Playa Quitapellejos is on a hard standing area near Vera beach, there's loads of room for many vans, when you've had your time there you can go to a camp site about 2 minutes away for services at a cost of 4 Euro.
I.ve been to if you park close to the fence, you could be moved on but left alone if you don't.
It's on Search for sites.

Another one convenient for Dieppe. Very clean and tidy, good for dog-owners, no services.
Attractive little town with shops and bars.View attachment 1104592
Bellabee, Unfortunately, I wont add any that arent "created" by ourselves.

From someones point of view this could just be copying S4S and reallocating their information so original photos are a bit of a necessity. Perhaps next year take a couple of photos.
