Newbie!
Hey gang,
I’ve spent a lot of time reading blogs & forums since I signed up to get a motorhome (Auto-Sleeper Neuvo), but what I’ve not seen yet, is actually how people organise their storage - I’m not meaning here massive garages, where you mount small cars, it’s more the general cupboards drawers, wardrobes, etc, where you store utensils, clothes, etc…

It would be great to see pictures of clever ideas.

thnx,
Heeb

Ah, I thought there were other bits and bobs we hadn't seen yet.
If I must……..

There have been several posts where the wardrobe has been converted to extra storage, either with shelving or some less permanent method, eg boxes, baskets, large bags etc. Where do you hang your clothes ? We take at least eight pairs of shorts each and longer slacks in case the sun goes in as we travel north. Then there's the jackets for going out in the evening, rain jackets - just in case - and other clothing which I prefer to hang rather than fold. I don't know what I'd do without the wardrobe !

We used to tour on our motorcycles for three weeks at a time……..we have non iron clothing and roll clothes not fold.

In our van we have rain coats and trousers that roll up for storage. If they get wet we hang them in the shower room until dry, then roll and put away. (y)

I made a version of the attached link for our wine glasses, using an old bit of plastic corner edging for plastering from a builders skip, and some 3mm foam sheet from a Chinese. An expanding curtain rod acts as a bar to kerp the glasses in, and I must say it works an absolute treat. Sorry no pix as the mh is at the storage site, but it's s good little thing to make. https://www.practicalmotorhome.com/advice/motorhome-diy-project-wine-glass-holder

I turned wardrobes into 'larders' by shelving them out as all our clothes were folded and put in upper lockers. I also use plate racks and wire shelves, the type you put in home cupboards, to give an extra level(s) in lockers etc which means I can shuffle them around to get them how I want rather than put in permanent shelving, the exception being the 'mug cupboard'. I have a tea/coffee/sugar tub set with it's own shelf that I wouldn't be without ... once it goes up in a MH it feels like 'home'!

As for cutlery and utensils, I use 'double stack' using 2 trays, a larger one on the bottom for utensils (the moulded type you'd fit in a home kitchen drawer but cut to size) and another which sits on top with the cutlery in and a couple of sharp knives which are used frequently.

The below pictures are from previous PVCs and our current MH.
