Show me yours (PVC) 😉

We have a LWB MAN TGE on order with a hoped for delivery late June (fingers crossed) which we currently plan to have converted by Atlas Sport Homes to our specification. View their gallery here.
Has anybody got other suggestions for a bespoke conversion as I've decided that doing another myself in a completely different base vehicle to those that I have converted in the past is not going to happen. It's an age thing!

This really shows how everyone’s taste is different.
I looked at some vans with the grp panel replacing the back doors but decided I preferred having the option to open the doors when (if!) the weather is good. I do sometimes make up the rear double bed and then use the space under it as storage. Other times I have transported bikes, mattresses, furniture etc loaded through the back doors. As for ikea, my family love me being their flat pack delivery dad

The IH rear lounge on the Crafter would suit if you accept the two singles made up permanently. The extra length of the Crafter allows for a larger washroom with the shower separated from the toilet. I can attest to the fact that the beds are very comfortable and about as long as you can get, and the wrap around corners make for good lounging with feet up.

I think carolyn has this version.

The starting money for that is almost what I paid bespoke conversion, add on a few extras and you're well into bespoke territory. And I've got a white leather ceiling.

Can recommend IH quality on a Crafter.

1.When you add a separate shower you lose space which is more important in a PVC than a larger van.
2. Add an oven and you have lost either drawers or a storage cupboard, once again more important in a PVC
3. Add a large fridge freezer and you lose ambient storage but gain fridge space

A good PVC is like a good Swiss army knife. It has all the functions in a smaller package and many parts are multi functional.
Buy on an extra high top for a more airy feel and lots more storage due to larger top lockers.

Regarding point 1, the Globecar Campscout has the shower in the corridor so it doesn't take up valuable space. What it does do, however, is virtually close down all activities in the rest of the van whilst it's in use.
We find we have more than enough storage space, garage not full and a couple of empty lockers. What we are short of, however is payload.

As a shower takes 15 minutes, I dont see that the space is worth losing in a PVC. BTW we moved from a frankia with a massive round shower, It was great for the 15 minutes a day and as we had lots of space in that kind of van.

BTW we have massive payload.

We nearly bought one you’re absolutely right. Unfortunately the trade in they were offering was rubbish and we were too lazy to try to sell privately!
The problem I found with the Crafter is that the extra half metre seems to be in the cab area and they are narrower than the Ducato so needs 2 doors to get into the bathroom/

Ok out this weekend and me and SWMBO got talking about future vans ( yes at some point we will upgrade / change)

I was think about maybe a PVC, but we both have non negotiable needs which are as follows:

I want to able to stand up without popping up a lifting roof, I am 6ft 2in....
Must have cassette toilet and separate shower cubicle
Must have fixed beds - likely to be two singles by the time we change vans
Must have larger fridge \ freezer
Must have oven and 3 ring hob minimum

Are we asking to much?

Lounge area as it's just the two of us will be swivel front seats

Anyone got a PVC that would meet the above and willing to share pictures, spec etc?
Something like a HymerCar or Adria just the two of us we have a HymerCar Ayres Rock and suits us just fine no pop top.

First thing I notice is they leave loads of exposed metal on the inside of the both rear doors, I would specify/request of the doir(Including sliding door) could be fully insulated and then bespoke top coverings made to cover the metal.
It looks nicer and will be warmer and not drip with condensation.

Go to Celtic Motorhomes and get exactly what you want at much higher quality that Autotrail etc and very reasonable price For what you get.

Our Malibu has a retractable loo, so you get loads of space when showering. Really clever.
Fixed rear bed with tons of storage underneath.

Not that I am looking to have one of these but compared to some they do look rather good I like the fact that the furniture looks quality and they have the rear doors lined, I am assuming they are also insulated. so they look like one of the better converters I see that there books are full with T5/T6 conversions
