All the gear, and no idea!
As per title, I need an iPhone 16 mount for the van, have tried a couple and failed abysmally, so show me what you have especially like to see A class mounts. I have an A Class LHD Carthago if that helps👍👍

Scosche magic mounts - I use these in both the m/h and car. You stick a small metal plate with 3M sticky pads to the rear of the phone, the mount itself has a very sticky base which adheres well to both glass and vinyls. (Available from Halfords)

How would this present itself on a ducato dashboard, can’t use windows as I shut the blinds etc

Quadlock do a range of ‘universal’ mounts. I use the 3M stick on pad with a ball mount on both the MH & my VW Transporter. Clean the surface thoroughly and firmly press the mount on, then leave it for 24hrs to set. For my phone, I use a MagSafe case & mount, but don’t charge the phone with the MagSafe option, prefer to plug the USB-C/Lightning cable into the phone.
I’ve also used Brodit mounts

I’ve got one of these in the car and one in the motorhome and they’re really sturdy, strong suction mount and strong magnet to hold the phone. I’ve not used the vent mount

I’ve just purchased a new heavy duty quad lock as I thought id lost my older one, you need a phone case to twist and lock but great and sturdy, used it in coach/wagon and on side window in motorhome, you can by pads to stick on dash board then use suction cup onto that also

I've resolved the main problem of the mounts not sticking properly (or for long) on the dashboard by reinforcing the adhesive with two screws through the mount into the plastic surface. You might think this permanently damages the dashboard, but I have moved the mounting and used a screwdriver round handle to smooth over the original holes in the dash, which are now almost invisible.

Love ours, one in car one in MoHo, absolutely solid mount no movement and stay put, so easy to use.

I gave up using mounts when they invented Apple CarPlay.

After trying many different ones over the years I was persuaded to try the Quadlock mounts as I have two phones and three vehicles to juggle with using.
They aren’t cheap but the phone cases fit perfectly and give decent protection from being dropped or screen scratches as well as easy to hold.
I use this type of stick on mount in the motorhome and the pickup and neither move about or vibrate. I use a windscreen mount on a dashboard adapter plate in the car as the rest of it is glass screens that aren’t ideal if blocked by the phone mounts.

Has worked perfectly in the moho , my landrover and the wife’s sports car and the cars we hire if we fly abroad - only word of warning switch the vent off when heating otherwise phone over heats
