I don’t need to know which vehicles are authorised, I know I am not one of them.

How? The sign has a motorbike and car on it, no mention of lorries or vans or indeed motorhomes.I don’t need to know which vehicles are authorised, I know I am not one of them.
The Highway Code says that sign means no motor vehicles. It then gives time limits and an exemption for authorised vehicles. The authorised vehicles may be some buses or some specific delivery vehicles, if I was authorised I would have been told. How? So you'd rather ban diesels than have euro 6 ?Euro 6 is a con. They re having to make more complicated cars that take more resources and more emissions in the manufacturing process and then they inject a hugely corrosive chemical into the exhaust. When they go for service garages are injecting even more chemicals and revving the nuts off them to try and get the EGR valves etc to work properly and because they re so complicated theyre not going to last as long thus even more emissions to make the subsequent cars trucks etc.
No I'm not generally in favour of banning things that are in general use. I was OK with the Euro classification when it started because we did have some exceptionally smoky diesels, I think that its tightened too fast and they should take their pedal off the gas a bit, especially given the hardship being caused by the idiotic rush to net zero in the middle of a cost of living crisis. So you'd rather ban diesels than have euro 6 ?
Not as idiotic as saying drill baby drill and get rid of " windmills"! I don't actually believe there is that much of a cost of living crisis it's largely hype.No I'm not generally in favour of banning things that are in general use. If you ( actually anybody) can tell me how much difference us achieving net zero will make to world temperatures then I might be able to see some sense it.Not as idiotic as saying drill baby drill and get rid of " windmills"! Don't you get the idea that it's burning fossil fuels that's the problem? Saying that what difference will it make if we stop burning fossil fuels is like saying it doesn't matter if I drop litter as the total amount of litter will still be about the same. It's about being responsible for your own actions something that the older generation go on about then seem to think it doesn't apply to them just like the politicians they complain about! If you ( actually anybody) can tell me how much difference us achieving net zero will make to world temperatures then I might be able to see some sense it.
The ultimate idiocy is pumping concrete down already drilled wells, with importing lots of coal a close second.
OK lets put it another way - We ve already taken steps to reduce our "carbon foootprint" so what difference has it made? by us I mean EuropeDon't you get the idea that it's burning fossil fuels that's the problem? Oh come, you know by adding adblue rose petals come out of the exhaust.Euro 6 is a con. We have but only very recently and I suspect if you look at the total so far released a lot would be from our own industry in the past. The benefit at the moment is mostly in our cities which although not perfect are much better places than they were when we had no vehicle emissions regulations. On the flip side what would be the benefit of scrapping emissions targets and regulations and returning to burning coal. All I could see is more pollution and higher costs.OK lets put it another way - We ve already taken steps to reduce our "carbon foootprint" so what difference has it made? by us I mean Europe
