Shoes

There are some items not allowed in our motorhome world, Plastic drinking glasses, Plastic plates and Top of the list a pair of Crocs.
But 😊you allow a sh. Toilet

Crocs.
Sod the fashionistas. Be of an an individual mind and don't follow the herd. In any case they will be fashionable soon - just wait long enough.
I have multiple pairs but be aware they the cheap one form will known discount shops may shrink and become brittle when exposed to strong sunlight, just as most plastics do. Luckily when mine shrink, they are the right size for Swmbo. Multiple pairs are useful because I can never remember where I leave them.
(ps The ladies tell me that bellbottoms/flares are coming back into fashion. Shame I got rid of my wedding suit years ago))
What's the likelyhood mine will shrink from 10 to 3?
Will there be enough strong sunlight at Barnard Castle this weekend?

Rubber mat outside , foam mat in footwell ( cut out of yoga mat , lies over the grippy black mat that came with the MH ) , dirt catcher mat inside . Wipe shoes outside , wipe shoes on foam in footwell , take off shoes on dirt catcher . All mats washed after each trip. Crocs rule btw .

all those mats my van would be overweight :roflmto:

Nope. Lovely and comfy, and when I go out I wear knee length white socks. A very distinguished look along with my corduroy shorts 🤪

As always, at the forefront of fashion.

Tell me does Madonna still call you for advice and pointers 🤔😊

DDJC We use Crocs mainly for any on site walking outdoors and off site in shoes etc. The shoes always were stored on the rubber mats behind the swivelled seats.
The Crocs were stored in the plastic footwell space, upright a pair at either side at the ends so any water drained down onto the footwell mat of the habitation door. The door was the Hartnal type and had the standard bin with the lift up lid fitted. There was just enough room for the Crocs to stand either side of the bin if stored toes downwards. The footwell was the first step inside the van with a level floor one step up in a Bessacarr E480G, sorry I don’t have a photo handy to show you it worked well no risk of tripping & I could also easily get out the door in a morning leaving the wife’s Crocs on the hinged side 😊

Don't use sites but the only time we take our shoes off in the van is in the evening.

Keep it simple. Disposable carpet mat inside door (B&Q, Dunelm) can be cleaned/chucked after each long trip. Works for dirty and/or wet shoes of all types. Can remove shoes indoors in the relative warmth.

Inside the van; crocs. Outside the van crocs. When at a special occasion, new crocs. Seriously I find them comfortable, cheap and long lasting. The only problem is getting the correct size as the indicated sizes for me vary between 40 and 46. The cheapest ones can also be distorted badly after being removed from the mould too soon. I love them all.

Crocs. Awful things but practical. Use. Then in site showers too. Leave them under the step or just inside the door on the step.
Eh!!!

so you take your crocs off and enter the shower barefoot, not me, best way to catch Athlete’s foot ever and I speak from experience 😉

Or do you mean wearing them in the site showers after re-reading your post again 👍

Same here, never been able to teach the dogs to take their feet off so no point in us being fussy.

We have a dog car travel 'box/seat' (similar to the below) which we used for Minky but it's too small for her now however it's the perfect size to sit on the small side seat near the door so we use it to put shoes etc in:

How about a small crate/box/bag/basket with a bit of rigidity to it to plop on your side sofa to put your shoes in, if you have a store 'The Range' near you have a potter around as they have loads of different types to choose from.

Oh & I don't wear anything in the rear of the van.If I stop to use toilet/go in back when travelling I take my footwear off.

Hummmm ..... Campa Nudista then? Do you close the blinds in the back of the van then ?

I wouldn’t wear my crocs anywhere,,got them from Amazon,,sent the wrong colour ( Lilac) couldn’t be arsed to send them back,,,if you see me on site,,please don’t comment👍

Bearing in mind I look like a bulldog licking piss off a thistle,, it totally ruins my street cred😜

Crocs just inside the PVC door. We wear our slippers in the van. Pair of flip flops for campsite showers, yes I’m fussy, only use campsite showers if they’re nice anyway.
Darling daughter thinks crocs are ghastly, I agree mind you, and says we’re allowed to wear them motorhoming but not in “real life”. I think it would be a hanging offence in Sherborne anyway!

My wife wears thigh length stiletto's when we are motorhoming and parked up in some wild camping areas that she knows, weird how we get a lot of visitors even though we are mile's away from anywhere ....

  :pinocchio:
