Shocking ferry cost

Lucky you. Just priced the Stena ferry Dublin to Holyhead in Sept for our planned trip to France.
Over £500 return!!!

It's s long drive to Rostock ,just to get a cheap ferry ride though.

Would it be cheaper to go direct from Ireland to France with less driving, particularly with fuel prices at such a high price. Just a thought, you may well have looked at this option, if so, I apologise.

Blimey. Has the Isle of Man Steam Packet Co taken over the route. That's nearly as much as we pay:sicker:

For a cheap ferry bargain, catch the one over the Seine, at Duclair, west of Rouen - it's FREE!(y)

Was amazed when we took the van over. :giggle:

We used SeaTruck for our Irish Adventure. They don't take animals though - and you need to be mobile to get from the vehicle deck to the passenger deck.

Last time I looked they weren't taking cars / motorhomes because of concerns about the virus but worth looking?

I have looked at other options but we normally travel through England as our son lives in Bath and we like to spend a few days with him on our way there or back. Also, we have a dog so we like to choose a short crossing if possible.
We haven't travelled abroad for over two years now, so I will just have to convince myself that I saved money last year!

£80 for a six hour journey. For a mere £83 you can get to the Isle of Wight and back from Southampton, an hour each way.
