For any one who just happens to be at Shell Island in September  It's worth taking your bathing costumes as the sea is reasonably warn there in September. Also for the lady's who may happen to be there, the showers are good and they have good facilities to plug your hair dryers in.

Looks like the hight of the tide wont be a problem but dont blame me if you end up under six foot of water. :)

give them a ring and check . It may mean they are not expecting high tides to cover the causway :) Amanda keeps singing Cliff Richards "wer'e all going on a summer holiday no more working for a week or two " yep she getting excited :)

Hi Kate,
I'm afraid Ralph and I won't be going to Shell island Now.
Our eldest son is 21 on the 1st , then our twins are 19 on the 5 th Ralph's birthdays on the 23rd so we've decided to shoot off the day after that.
We are having another visit to the Hebredian Islands , for a couple of weeks.
He's planning our route as I type. We're starting up at Aviemore , then hoping to catch some Dolphins at Moray Firth on the way to the ferry port at Ullapool to Stornaway. Doing the Hopscotch 8 this time.
I'm sure you'll all have a fab time. Maybe next year .....
I know we're counting down the days, to our holiday.
Pug should be totally finished too by then. Ralph needs some total relaxation , I'm sure we'll get it up there. Bx

Very sorry I shan't be coming, but I'm sure you will have a great time!!

Sorry you wont be there perhaps next year x Kate

Didn't I read somewhere that Jim and Sian were going, or have I been dreaming?

Oh and maybe Terry can confirm but I think he said David and Bev DavidG58 are going.

What ever you do it's a huge place there is a strict no groups rule so don't try and get to close to other vans there is plenty of room to spread out but be still in the same area, shouldbe good.
