burstner
Hi

We have posted on here before but not really getting anywhere we suggestions so just wondered how others have gotten on selling their motorhome.

We have called and submitted long forms to numerous places and had to call them and we have had 3 knock backs so far saying they are not buying at moment 😟.

We have a burstner ixeo 2019 with lots of extras.

Is there anyone who’s had similar issues ?

Thank you ☺️

Have you put it on the classifieds here?
At least people will be honest and say the price is too high, or you have not told people about important items

Tried Simon …. It’s proving very difficult to actually get hold of him. We spoke to his colleague Barry yesterday but still not heard … we sent through spec etc …… I’m feeing they not really interested either as we are constantly chasing them.

Ok could try on here thank you.
With the other dealers price not even mentioned so it’s not that we are looking at a price that’s too high 😂😂…. They never even asked … it was just a straight no.

Well at least their stock yards are full, probably for the first time since 2017!

There is a list (with map) of all the motorhome dealers here

If all the dealers now have as much stock as they can fit on their yards, it would imply the Pandemic bubble has finally well and truly burst.

Back to normality, where your motorhome depreciates year on year like any other vehicle.

(Someone needs to tell the manufacturers though, as my motorhome is now almost twice the cost new that is was 7 years ago, and inflation is only about 20% of that)

There is a massive recent thread on here somewhere about this very thing.

Don't think Jim's had the time to get all of them loaded as yet.

The "complete" list is here.

Yes I totally agree about the bubble 🤪…….

I’m guessing prob then our best bet is to put it on auto trader ourselves and massively undercut the price of the dealers .? Might be our only option.
Put it on eBay with a reserve, and let people bid on it , if it doesn't reach your reserve you haven't lost anything but you will have an idea of how much it's likely to sell for.

That’s another option for sure 👌🏼….. isn’t it a very high value item to sell on eBay though 🧐

I’m afraid that it seems it’s switched (switching) to a buyers market. Very different dynamics.

I’d stick it on eBay too!

Don't know how much you want for it.
Well we paid £82,000 less than a year ago and added lots of extras …. So gives you an idea of the general price area

We have just bought a Mobilvetta Kea 80 I spoke with three dealers and one independent and all said the same, the market is flooded and stock is high.
Nobody wants to say the bubble has burst but a realistic price is essential. A private sale is the best way. Good luck selling.

Hi 👋🏻 yes I think 🤔 we have set our price we want to achieve very fair so maybe auto trader is best. The dealers aren’t even asking us how much we want etc it’s yes a no straight off. I could be looking for £40,000 ….. big mistake they didn’t ask 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣…. Picturing the scene in “pretty women “

I like your style. I think the dealers are flooded at the moment. There is a private seller on auto trader at the moment very well specced recently reduced. worth looking.

Yes 👍🏼 I even think that’s over priced to be fair in the current market ..

There are 6 of them for sale today on Autotrader here
Asking prices are between £68k and £88k
(Which is not the same as selling prices)

I'd guess a dealer would offer you mid £50's,
IF they have the space!

wow mid 50s seems low to me … even taking into account profit etc …… but it’s a market I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ but that seems very low .
