Hi to all, we are new members and just ordered our first Motorhome. (Autosleeper corinium duo) we intend to do some wild camping. Do we need a second leisure battery? Thanks in anticipation.

But surely it depends on what you do when away.... sit on THS and don't move....
B2B useless.... solar good!!
Move van every day to drive around ... Then
B2B great solar less so.
So the OP really has to sum up his needs then decide.
What's good for one Funster ain't necessarily good for another.
Not quite.
In winter solar is pretty useless.
You can recover a flat battery with B2B whilst stationary, if necessary.

If you going to sit and disturb everyone's peace and tranquillity (As happened to us at a festival last year every morning) then you might as well get a gennie... your moho engine will thank you for it.

Do it once and do it right. A shed load of solar and a decent battery bank. Make sure your on board charger can cope with the type and size of your battery bank and you solar regulator. Don't forget your cab battery.

I am with 'two' on this, as one probably never needs to run the engine except in an emergencye.g. if sick and cannot drive. Other times, if likely to disturb neighbours just drive down the road and run it there. At 1000rpm it would only take 20-30mins. to get enough to last for a day or two.

If like us one rarely has neighbours then no problem.

B2B works on every trip- even a short run to the shops adds a lot of amps.

Let me quote another example.. very cosy in pub car park during week long music festival at pub( by cosy I mean lucky if 6ft between vans.)
Every morning at 7am van 2 along would start and run engine for nearly an hour.
Despite "words" from a considerable number of others on car park he continued to do it.
Yep even B2B need to used with consideration.
