We have turned the corner and are now on the Algarve after being warned off staying at Carrapateira,so today is much warmer and so is the sea. Off for a swim, catch up later. (y)

Who warned you off and why?
The GNR spoke to us plus there is this comment on Park4night.

No it's just a car park at what was our favourite beach and a great restaurant just along from it,box is fine but have to manually move the dish to Intelsat as it's not on the list of available channels.

Full moon over Pingo Doce, have I said before that is my favourite supermarket?
Had a bike ride along the cliff tops between Lagos and Luz yesterday before we went to Adega da Marina for lunch,a kilo of prawns and garlic between 4, yum yum. Before we got to the restaurant we passed a garage that had a Willys jeep parked outside.
Went in today to top up my cave with some excellent Portuguese reds before plotting up at Alvor.

Had to rehydrate after our Sunday ride so what better way than this?

Some of you might remember that I was selling an Outdoor Chef BBQ on here, well I got the other one that SWMBO wanted and it is as good as the other but with a bag. Tonight I did a 5 cheese Lidl pizza slightly modified with more toppings. Turned out really well due to the way the BBQ distributes the heat. If anyone is looking for one contact me as I have a couple for sale due to old age indecitionism.

You were right about Continente for good deals on wine @BreweryDave ,went to Albufeira shopping centre today and did a wee shop. Shame you're not here to try some. :wine:

Great BBQs - we have three - two at home of which one is twenty plus years old and a City Grill in the van.

Got a Paella Pan and Cast Iron Griddle but not Pizza Stone.

Nobody buys them which is a shame - they have even started making charcoal ones now on an effort to get more sales.

The funnel design is briliant.

I just bought a suitably sized pizza stone and paddle from eBay ,the Outdoorchef accessories are exorbitant.

Well to help you make up your mind - we're on our way with champers in tow in an hour!!! Save us 2 places!

Whatever you do never ever ever put this on your food. I asked for picante oil for my pizza and we all put it on our food. Here's Cathy in a trance with it.

Decided I wanted a swim in the ocean so went to Praia de Faro, big waves but nice and warm. Too busy/noisy near the beach so moved to the big car park just over the causeway, here is tonight's sunset.

Went to Santa Luzia via Pingo this morning, lovely little village. Plenty of room where we are and this Frenchie squeezes in beside his fellow countrymen, unbelievable. o_O

You could of course go 400m up the road and pay €5 or so on a lovely tarmac'ed car park:)

That big French N&B taking up 3 spaces with his trailer and car will be there until next April, don't know when he arrives to get that spot.
Quite happy here thanks very much, close to all the towns eateries and bars.

Any room at your gaff in Tavira some time this week as that's our next stop. ;)

Lots of room at the moment for shortish stops, a lot of pitches booked for long periods in the next few months but many don't arrive until Nov/Dec. Booking system is a bit chaotic! always room somewhere though.
