Hi, we had the windscreen replaced on a Hymer B584 in Spain after a large crack appeared. All good, done on insurance. however, there was no rain for 2 months afterwards, guess what happened when it did rain ? About 5cm of rubber seal on the inside, top right corner had slipped down a few mm, so we had a drip. I pushed it back in, did the same on the outside section and thought it was done. Then a few weeks later, it happened again, so I used sealant, then yet again. So I push it back into position every few weeks. I can't really take it back to Alicante, any ideas ? I suppose I can use Autoglass when we're back in the UK.

Dont know but i thought the joint was bottom of screen in middle

Surprised you could even get it done in Spain we had to wait till we returned to UK last year as Auto glass said their associate company Cara Glass would not touch them.(y)(y)

Just had Autoglass (Special Team) replace our Rapido A class screen today, nice guys and they seem to have made a good job, were very thorough cleaning out the old sealant, we will see how it performs when we get some rain.
Cheers
Ed

Our Pilote leaked like a sieve following screen change, like you we didn't find out till driving in torrential rain o_O

Auto glass resealed with a tube and something of black gunge stuff that got everywhere :(

Our Hymer has obviously been changed or resealed there is masses of gunge all round some parts of the screen, but at least it doesn't leak

I would get it checked back in UK where they take account of UK weather (y)

You're right, Autoglass won't, we had to book the appointment ourselves at a Hymer dealer. Aviva were very helpful, paid the bill, but my wife is Spanish so we did the leg work. it's a point that is often overlooked when insuring a van, Autoglass won't work on Hymer A class in Spain or France.

Dont wait for rain, get it hosed down on day two

That’s not good done by Hymer dealer if I were you I’d get in touch with Hymer and see if they can get it done properly on your return or go back via Bad Walsa Hymer works.

Should have contacted your insurers once you realised it was leaking and before DIY bodging it.
I doubt they will be interested now it's covered in sealer.
