About 2 hours ago.Was that picture taken in the last half hour....if so I’m on my way !
Wow ! That looks nice as well....dunno what to do... suavecarve ’s hippy commune with nude nymphettes looks VERY tempting.... I left the aire in Domme....took me an hour to get out as machine wasn’t working to put in exit code and both phone numbers you can ring in the event of problems didn’t pick upWell the last swimming place is now down to 2nd place. We drove through the tunnel to Spain and are staying on a campsite by a stunning swimming spot. Crystal clear water flowing down sculpted smooth river bed with pools and channels to slide down. One deep pool you can swim on the spot for a workout into the flow. Shade on one bank, stunning views and not too busy. If this was in France I think it would be packed! There are hot springs and a gorge we'll walk to tomorrow. View attachment 419387View attachment 419388View attachment 419389View attachment 419390
Well after your last revelation...I hope they’re female Swedish volleyball players...About 2 hours ago.

Shhhhh !Well after your last revelation...I hope they’re female Swedish volleyball players...
As many will well know, there are lakes which are freezing cold and full of stones and those which are warm with a sandy bottom. Well, we are not in France but in Germany on a campsite with a lovely swimming lake, warm and sandy with a decent sand beach at a place called Hemsbach just off the A5 north of Heidleberg. We have abandoned the visit to the latter as the stellplatz is 4Km out of town so public transport needed but as we have been avoiding that at home we are doing so here. A number of the towns on the Bergstrasse are very well worth visiting between Darmstadt and Heidelberg on the B3.So, I couldn’t go off in Apr, May, June because no number plates (long story) so have been forced to go in August at height of tourist season ☹ . I’m just south of Limoges...fancy a swim. Does anyone know of anywhere one can go that is not packed with people...rivers or sea will do....no lakes...don’t like lakes so much. Within 200 km.
Dordgne, Ardeche probably too crowded, Riviera same...Bay of roses...same and lots of Covid so they say....Lot...too big a river and so no swimming...nice empty campsite with pitch on the river bank even better...will be around all September so perhaps those areas will be OK by then but want a swim NOW ! It’s hot.
Ah right thanks....I’ll put that on my list...only Swimming I’ve done in Germany was in the Moselle...bit cold but very refreshing. As many will well know, there are lakes which are freezing cold and full of stones and those which are warm with a sandy bottom. There is a wonderful site on the banks of the Vienne at Queaux, the site is called Camping du Renard and is located about 15 minutes drive from the N147 if you turn off at Moulismes.
