We have arranged to drive up and collect our new van just after lockdown on 7 Dec from East Neuk Campers at Anstruther from our home in Norfolk, I wonder if I could class that as an essential journey? 🤔🤔

Hadrian did put a wall between us but due to defence cuts somewhere down the line its fallen into disrepair :reel:
There's a fella in the US who's a bit of an expert in walls. His current contract comes to an end in the new year, so might be able to quote / advise the refurbishment works ::bigsmile:

If you are on a train which crosses the border who has committed the offence? You, or the train driver for taking you across?

I have consulted and A.P. Herbert was of no help.
You are, as a passenger.
The train is permitted to cross with 'essential journey only' passenger so the driver can't be blamed.

Thank goodness the travel directive is now being taken seriously. I believe travel, whether to/from England or abroad is a large reason numbers have risen since the summer.
No, the main cause is people ignoring the rules by visiting other people’s homes and ignoring social distancing.

I’m outraged at this, I went to Scotland twice in the 70’s and might want to go back before I pass.
Another Civil Liberty eroded....it’s like N Korea ( but without the short-arsed irrational leader !!!!!)

Short-arsed leader's are always trouble
I would ban any that are not at least 6ft
I think we are still allowed to be heightest
Napoleon + lots of other French leaders
Mussolini
Stalin
Lenin
Franco

I'll have to ignore the travel ban tomorrow , my car is in at my supplying main dealership at Carlisle for warranty work and has to be collected tomorrow morning .
Its been booked in for weeks and went in this morning , getting a slot for the workshop has been difficult since they were closed at the beginning of the year and have never caught up with the backlog of servicing .
Nothing I can do since we need the car back and the garage doesn't want the responsibility of keeping it any longer than necessary

Scots banned from travelling to airports but can still take flights abroad

It is now illegal for millions of Scots to travel to an airport - despite still being allowed to take flights abroad under new rules, it has been revealed.

Pete
Not sure what the issue is with that?

Agreed. Only the UK Government can ban international travel. Stopping people travelling to airports - if enforced - should be quite enough without the need for further legislation. Trust the loopholers to look for any excuse to ridicule the Gov.!
