Please accept my apologies for starting this thread. I was hoping that there would be a proper answer to my question.
There is a possibility that this period will be extended if the F.T.A. negotiations are going well and we choose not to crash out.After the WA is passed on 31/1/20, we will retain all our current rights - including freedom of movement - until the end of the transition period on 31/12/20.

I think your new PM gave the definitive answer . No extension will be requestedIndeed, but I believe the Govt have until the end of June to decide whether to ask for an extension and I think Manxcat will be wanting to get his holiday planning under way a bit sooner than that....
