Schaudt Control Panel LT 460

So the MH was in the supplying dealers recently for some warranty work and it’s come back without the 12v (red) light working on the Schaudt Contol Panel.

All the 12v functions still work as far as I can see. My question…is there a simple fix to sort this or does it need dealer intervention?

It used to illuminate under the yellow water pump light. Image attached from a few months ago…

Very odd we both have the identical problem. Mine is 1 month outside warranty. Which Hymer do you have? Where did you get it. Im still waiting for Travelworld to reply after they quoted me £385 for a replacement plus fitting costs!

We have a B890MLi like yourself which we purchased from Lowdhams on 1st September 2021.

I agree it is odd and I want it sorting before our warranty expires. I really can't understand why it would stop illuminating unless a wire has become detached or a fuse is blown.

Please note have been seeking repair or replacement of Schaudt LT460 control panel fitted to 25 month old Hymer BML 890 (just out of warranty)
Have contacted Hymer Schaudt, Travelworld, Apuljack, also A&N Caravan Services who have been brilliant but there hands are tied !
A&N are suggesting the problem could be in the electrobloc unit. Its all beyond me. Travelworld said it needed a new control panel at £385 plus fitting (extortionate after I have just paid them £566 for a habitation check and inspection), but I suspect that the problem has not been properly diagnosed by the dealer!
Indidentally "Cutthroat Jake" on this forum has exactly the same problem with an LT460 unit. Come on Schaudt / Hymer get your act together and stand by your product!

Exactly the same problem on the same machine and part points towards a manufacturing or processing issue with a batch of components. Whether its the panel or the elctrobloc is beyond me.

Exactly the same problem on the same machine and part points towards a manufacturing or processing issue with a batch of components. Whether its the panel or the elctrobloc is beyond me.

I have pulled the panel out and cannot see any break in circuitry either on the wafer or in the 4 wires, so doubt its that. We have had far too many warranty problems with the BML 890.

Long shot but I have the LT242 panel in our van and it has totally locked up a couple of times the only way I could get it to respond again was to disconnect it at the EBL then reattached worked a treat totally reset it, I know your problem is different but worth a try.

Out of interest how would we go about disconnecting the control panel at the EBL?

I've had a Shaudt control panel replaced under warranty. It's a different model (lt632). It locked out so I could switch main power, but that was it. I couldn't turn on the pump, see tank levels or battery condition. I think mine failed after the battery had been drained too far. I found others on forums with the same error code and similar stories. The speculation is the onboard memory gets corrupted at low voltage levels. Someone fixed theirs by forcing a memory reflash on to it. I'm not convinced that they are actually that reliable.

If everything is working otherwise, is it just a blown power indicator bulb/LED? Had the same on my LT95F panel and had it replaced under warranty.

I’m just wondering if there is a fuse I can check/change if required?

I’m sure I can sort it under warranty if needs be but if there is something I can do I’m happy to try.

I have looked at various manuals for Schaudt and they suggest that it may be a fuse issue but for the life of me I can work out which one!

There is a small black switch to turn it on and off( German words) I have used this previously to reset the elektroblock! Tried it with my LT460 panel made no difference. Happy to say Hymer have agreed to replace this under warranty. Travelworld are sending me a replacement which looks to be very simple to replace, I will then return the old one for inspection!

I have the same EBL400 unit in our Hymer B780MLi and it has stopped charging the leisure batteries when the engine is running, has anyone had a similar problem

Mine is the LT510 panel with the EBL 220.
Recently the red on/off light on mine has failed to show but all functions work as normal.
I was putting it down to a failed LED and didnt worry about it to much.
Last week at Pershore rally it suddenly decided to work again but only for a few days, it's off again now.
So my current thought is maybe a dry solder joint. I'm going to leave mine alone and not mess for now..

I too have the main on/off LED not working on the LT460 control panel and out of warranty. Just sent it to Apuljack who have told me its beyond repair. I wonder if anyone else is in the same situation other than buying brand new from my Hymer dealer who add their import duty costs?

Lowdhams have agreed to replace my faulty control panel under warranty as I’d informed them within the warranty period.

I suggest you email Udo Lang at Schaudt .. technical support.

Top man and he will reply, I've had several problems resolved asking him for advice.

Give him as much info as you have.. panel name, model, serial etc.. plus a photo

Many thanks. I have just done that a few minutes ago after a bit of searching & received a reply from him straightaway. They are prepared to do it under warranty. Excellent service (I hope) from Schaudt.

The Schaudt Control panal on our Malibu has the same fault - Posted to Apuljack via dealers/warranty - everything works OK but no led light for 12 volt/on/off - seems they have a problem with this - Apuljack siad couldn't fix and have ordered a new panel

Yep, just found we have exact same problem on a '21 Hymer 780.
