Just purchased a 2022 Carthago Malibu (due to loss of my C1 licence couldn't drive my Carthago C tourer 3850kg)
Looking at the supplied manuals and there is one for a Schaudt Booster WA 121525.
Had a good look under the passenger seat and can see Electroblock and Exide gel battery but no sign of booster.
Not under driver's seat and no room under the floor by engine battery,
Any suggestions as to where it could be fitted if at all?

I have an Adria Twin with the same booster. It’s accessed from the back of the passenger seat. Given post above I suspect it will be one or the other.

On my Malibu Van it is behind the plastic trim at the back of the passenger seat. Simply release the 2 lugs on the top of the plastic trim to get at it.

Ours is above the EBL under the passenger seat.
Easier to see by removing plastic panel at the rear of the seat. Lever up the 2 lugs at the top left and right with a flat bladed screwdriver.

Thanks will remove the rear cover and have a look. I understand that it's not really suitable for the 105 amp Lithium battery that I would like to fit to replace the 80 amp gel leisure battery with.

It does have a LiFePO4 setting. Some would argue that it doesn’t shut down when the battery is full and is therefore not ideal but according to my battery manufacturer this is not a serious problem.

I use the gel setting on my schaudt for my lithium. It charges to 14.4V and then drops down to 13.8V. Lippert who make Schaudt stuff suggested this when I queried the constant 14.4V on the lithium setting.

If you do that, you need to switch off the battery temperature sensor if it's fitted. Otherwise you will have temperature compensation of the charge voltage enabled which Lithium does need (or like).

Just change the switch in the schaudt to lithium, the victron also to lithium settings, and I don't know how EHU is charged in your van.

Electroblock I would think would normally charge the battery.
Do I need to disable it?
Engine battery would still need charge

Depending in the model, but a new van should have an EBL with lithium switch in the back.
If so, you'll be ok for the ocassional EHU use.
