Sat Nav or Tablet

I previously tried a cheap Lenovo tablet with Copilot but unfortunately the volume of the spoken directions wasn’t loud enough and the factory fit radio doesn’t have an auxiliary input socket to play the instructions through the radio.
I use a Bluetooth speaker with.mine, rattles the windows at full volume, I am a bit deaf too.

Get a proper android tablet. Some of those overpriced things with an apple on don't have gps so wont work.
I use a cheap lenovo tablet which works fine with copilot rv.

Similar - I got a cheap android tablet from Aldi and tried a few different satnag programs (lots have a free trial period) before I decided that I liked iGo.

Is it worth opening?

Depends on your way of thinking

Basically a satnav is a tablet with half the software removed and the price doubled or quadrupled.

Our current set up built in Zenec unit and an Xgody 886 cheapo unit for herself, both run Igo software and I am quite impressed with the Xgody which cost £40 for the Bluetooth model

So I've been using my old iPad this week with Sygic installed.

Left Lincs on Monday travelled through the Cotswolds, Down to Cheddar gauge and then over to Newbury.

It's been brilliant,

Can't think why I would bother with a normal sat navy again.

Thanks to all who suggested this.

Likewise we are in France and have had issues with waze/Google maps etc taking us over inappropriate roads, so tried a demo of sygic truck on an 8" tablet, and have to say we have had no issues with it, so will likely be stumping up the £67,for 3 years next time we go away.
