Running inverter whilst driving

If you are anywhere near Devon before you go away Ive an tourer 2 you can borrow, its sat in its case for the last 6 months.
Presumably your a trustworthy soul??
 
Never mind then. I just wondered whether anyone knew.
You can calculate a ballpark figure. An engine could produce say 100HP, about 80kW of power. Let's say it mostly runs at about 1/3 of that, say 25kW. An alternator can produce say 100A, about 1200W. So a 1kW inverter will increase the load by about 1kW in 25kW, ie about 4%. That would be measurable, I think. A 100W laptop charger would increase the load by 0.1kW in 25kW, ie 0.4%, which I think would not be measurable.
