Run to the sun….

Sorry to hear all this Garry 😞 I'm sure it was tough going on the lose sand, maybe you'll get back another time with some type of powered chair 🤞
Sorry to hear more bad news about your brother as you know I'm going through something similar with my own older brother and its hard going,
I hope you can get the Cintia situation sorted out as your so close to the finish line now ♥️

Wondering did you get across to Mohammedia OK mate? We're north of Rabat going on to Tangier and going to catch the ferry over to Spain near the weekend and spend a few days & St Paddy's day at my brothers in Marbella, I've arranged my mum & sisters to fly in so it'll be a big surprise for him lol as long as the surprise doesn't finish him off! 🤣

We did Paul and most of the journey was in the rain and it’s been on and of all day, weather is a bit mixed all week with rain but it’s still warm so that’s a bonus…

It seems the phone call I got from my brothers daughter the other day was a little bit of an overreaction from her, although it’s not good for my brother it seems that he got a bit down which is understandable and some medication has not been agreeing with him. It’s obviously a worrying time for her and I think she was just venting it to me, he’s going in to have a stent fitted from his kidneys as the cancer is affecting them and not discharging properly… will know more from his biopsy soon I’d imagine..🤔

So it may not be the immediate emergency it was, we will sit it out here anyway until the return ferry on the 1st April and we’ve got a month more in Spain until the 1st may and I’ll probably spend most of it around Alicante for a chance of a quick flight home if needed….

Coming along the coast to the campsite the sea is rough and dirty from the swell and the rivers that are washing into it, the site is wet and a few puddles but the sandy base is compacted so ok for the chair, site is still fairly busy…🍻😎

Glad to hear a little bit of better news at least 😀
Yes I think the weather is a bit of a mixed bag for the next couple of days but the good stuff will come back shortly, i think it's good for them to have a few days rain for their crops and livestock etc, they have little enough without destroyed crops & dying livestock so it's all good 🙂👍

I've got a lot of time to fill today :(

Weve been at Tanger Med, since 9.30am and the car park is filling up with campers. Following the online departures (which I thought was great progress) we expected to go on the 1200 ferry. Unfortunately the online and departures board here turns out to be fantasy and Balaeria are hoping to get us on the 1800. Following some prompting Carlos gas told us that its a backlog because of the storms, however looking out across the sea looks relatively calm.

The silver lining in this was that had the pleasure of meeting CaptainPaul who has progressed towards the boarding area. Hope its going well for him but we're being told that the port is clogged up with lorries. 🤞

Fasting is quite a popular way for losing weight and improving health generally now. Lots of people doing intermittent fasting such as 5 2. It's really beneficial to gut health to give it a rest so it can repair itself.
Life is too short to be fasting and losing good food opportunities.

It's too short to be unwell due to obesity and or bowel issues too so if intermittent fasting works for someone then they get to have more time enjoying good food. Also a little abstinence can do wonders for really relishing your food.

Pleasure meeting up with you too Jon & the lovely Sue, and sitting in your beautiful big van was just luxurious they don't make them like that anymore! 🤣
Hopefully catch up with you again somewhere
Yes we're down at the loading ramp but no ships in port to board! Apparently there's two on the way over from Algerciras now, the Germans in front in the big desert wagons aren't a bit happy about all this waiting about, but we're cool as cucumbers it's just Morocco being Morocco 🙂

Ive hopefully secured myself a position on the 1800. Reckon it might leave by 2100 🤞

Yours is now saying 1600 on the board🤞🤞

Yes we're on board with a coffee & roll 😀
There's 2 Balearia ships in port now this one & the blue ship behind It
Wind is picking up too but it's a westerly so will be behind us 😉View attachment 1026767
Im reckoning that the white one is the 1500 due to leave in 30 minutes. The ither looked like it was full of unaccompanied trailers, so that could take a while

There’s a few vans here on Ocean Blue because of the backlog on the ferries… we’re experiencing some heavy showers and a few large puddles developed around the site but it drains away quickly… the Wi-Fi here is decent so at least I’ll be able to watch F1 this coming weekend ☺️

The sea is quietening down but still mucky from the rivers delivering their muddy waters… but the main thing is that it’s nice and warm here…☀️🍻😎

Well, that was a long day! The returns usually take longer than scheduled but this was the longest yet. Entered the port at 0930, finally sailed at 2130. Parked up at Carlos at 0030.
