I am a newbie
Hi Guys (likely more appropriate start given the title)
To celebrate Ireland's rise to No 1 in the rankings() we were thinking of catching some games next year via MH.
We have never been abroad in our MH but have heard France is very well kitted out!
We are going to France this September on a random trip but wondered if there were any recommendations for sites in Bordeaux, Nantes or even St Denis (Stade de France).
Seems like a fun way to do it, and we would appreciate any advice or recommendations, especially if anyone has been to world cups or other major events in France?

Pre Millennium Stadium, I used to organise a minibus load of us to go to Wales for games…..only Englishman, the rest were Jocks and Taff’s…..so I was the obvious choice otherwise we’d have never got there.

Anyway…..back on thread, never had a problem getting enough tickets for us all……then they built the New Stadium…..happy to still sell me as many tickets as I wanted when Wales home games were a Wembley, but as soon as they moved back to Cardiff I couldn’t even get one, never mind twelve. Now they’re just too expensive so us real Rugby fans stopped going over there.🤷‍♂️

the price of international tickets at Cardiff is way out of my league now they are ridiculously priced and although the atmosphere is there your ability to watch the game is often restricted.

sorry off topic

I agree Phil.

Everyone is pissed as well - including me usually

I am not going to any more games in Cardiff.

Well I get down to Cardiff 3/4 times every year, and agree with a couple of you boys that tickets are overpriced, and indeed have been for quite a number of years imo.
Nevertheless I will continue to go down and pay the price......my overall weekends enjoyments meeting the lads, seeing the game, etc are priceless to me

I’m Welsh and my husband’s English so we’re doing England v Argentina in Marseille on the 9th, hotfooting it to Bordeaux for Wales v Fiji on the 10th and then taking a more leisurely trip to Nice to see both sides the following weekend.

We’ve got a campsite booked about 9km out of Marseilles (although had to book a bell tent as the motorhome pitches were full) but no idea how we’ll get into Marseilles and back at the moment. Or rather, we can get a bus in but not back.

I’m struggling for somewhere in Bordeaux but will try some of the tips mentioned above.

I haven’t started looking for Nice yet so if anyone has recommendations they’ll be gratefully received. Also any decent places to visit/stay between Bordeaux and Nice would be great.

We’re then driving back via Chambery. I lived there for a year 25 years ago but have never been back. Again, suggestions for campsites in that area would be gratefully received.
