Has anybody got a favored route to Bari ferry port from Calais. We have a trip to Greece planned in September. When we went 5 years ago we went via Belgium, Luxembourg into Germany, then via Karleshul to Fussen. From here we went via Brenner pass into Italy. Then it was all motorway down to Bari

Will watch this with intrest our plan next year is to Travel to Turkyie via Greece route options will depend on if over 3.5 t or under for swiss motorway passes and if your travelling on french toll roads they can get expensive.

cheapest way to get to Greece is
France-Belgium-Germany- Austria-Hungary-Romania-Bulgaria-Greece.

We are planning this route for next spring/summer with our dog. Site seeing along the way then 6-8 weeks in Greece. Maybe get ferry back to Italy then up through France back to UK.

If you do that, get registered with vintrica and buy vignette online for HU, RO, BG, much cheaper than at the border.

I went on a motorcycle tour of Greece via the ferry from Ancona to Patras. It was a very nice cruise down the Adriatic, past Corfu, saving about 300 miles compared to Bari.

have a look at vintrica.com site, and look for appropriate vehicle category, its all electronicaly for the 5 ton same as other cars, but just choose the category that applies to you.
I downloaded vintrita app and pay by pay-pal on that. last time was for Slovenia, going into Italy.

They don't appear to list anything over 3.5t.

I'm sure there was an option on the app where you register your vehicles. And mine was under D2, if I remember right.
