Roof bars!! (2 Viewers)

Morning all, ive got a question about our Motorhome that i keep forgetting to ask on here, our Welcome 85 (53 plate) has got roof bars around the back edge of the roof, where i have noticed quite a few of the same model dont have. We dont have a ladder, but i have got a feeling it did have at somepoint as there are 4 reflectors placed where i think a ladder would have been attached. Only had it for a week today so still at the learning phase with it ! Hope someone can let us know if there is a reason for it.

mine had a set of bars at the rear that can be used for luggage, roof boxes, etc.I attached my solar panels to them

Our first van, an Eldiss Autoquest, also had them, along with a fold down ladder. Only used themn a couple of times and never felt safe on the ladder. It's also over the rear axle that with gas and water, and lightweight bikes on the bike rack was already perilously close to the rear axle maximum loading.
