There is anew Romahome model coming, the R50 Generation! I will post some production photos later!

I had 3 Romahomes and loved 'em to bits. Due to a motorbike accident 7 years ago I have no use of my right arm so now my licence restricts me to an automatic but Romahome don't have even one automatic in their range. I've kept in touch with them but they say they've no plans for an auto. Great shame.

EDIT: Just looked the website which has an update from last Wednesday to say that the R10 is available as an automatic.................it looks a bit too tiny but I'll have a look.

---------------
Nah, the R10 is far too small and the 'Download a brochure' feature on their website doesn't work so can't check out the other larger models in the range. A pretty poor show.

We have an Auto R10 in at the minute. It has a TV and the smallest van on the market actually had the longest bed you can get in a camper!

I think it looks awesome. Constructive feed back please people!

Also love the Romahome, a design classic

Not a lot to look at TBH ... just another pop top camper ... what's the inside like?

Also a former romahome owner, inside will need to be exceptional to compete with the existing pop tops.

R20 available as an Auto
The auto transmission must be a fairly recent introduction and there's no mention of it on their website. There are no specifications shown at all except that it's on a Berlingo base and less than 5m in length, and it confusingly says in the very brief sales froth, quote: ...Eberspacher hot air seating and grab handles....
Presumably the grab handles are so you can get up quickly when the heated seats catch fire.
It's a dismally poor website and you have to email them (!!) for a brochure to obtain any meaningful details.
Hopefully they employ more accurate engineers than copywriters.
Must do better.

Hi Spriddler, Romahome have literally just got their new website up and running. Romahome themselves have recently managed to break away from their old parent company and are now a small independent manufacturer. The website went up about a week ago. Howards are supporting them getting back up on their feet and in the space of 6 months, they have managed to develop a brand new model, get a new website up and running (Even if it needs tweaking) Started looking to the future with the New Berlingo coming soon as well as get ready for Peterborough and fill production lines.

The New Berlingo will also have a camper version as well as a more traditional coach built style. That will keep the traditionalists happy.
The market for that sized van at the moment is rapidly heading towards pop top campers, like the California and the Marco Polo. It's popular with younger people and will help to bring fresh blood in as well which can only be good for Romahome overall. Any success with the R50 will enable them to modernise and re-develop the older models like the R20 or the R30.

Some cheeky photos!

Understood, @Steakandperoni. I was quite encouraged by the reply by @Big Adam that there was a larger Romahome and went straight to the website to ............ be disappointed at the lack of information. Writing off for a brochure is a bit, well....... Babycham and Berni Inns ;)
Over many years I had three excellent Romahomes which were my sole transport; even when driving to work they gave me a holiday feeling. The leak-free one piece GRP body was a bonus.
Thank you for clarifying the situation with the new endeavour. It won't be practical to change from my 6.5m m/h this summer but will keep the opportunity to change it in mind and I wish you all success.
