I now have absolutely no use for the absorption plant I removed from our fridge. If anyone would like it, let me know, I'm at Glapwell near Chesterfield.

It's going on 8 years old but was fully working, never had any complaints once I'd renewed the thermal paste.

Hi there, I realise this post is several years old but we have the exact same 3-way absorption fridge and we are thinking of replacing it for a 12v Compressor fridge. Q: is this what you did and if so what model did you go for and was it successful?? Thanks in advance Martin

No I've still got the fridge box, I bought a compressor kit for it and it works great now. There's a thread on it. I'll post a link...

Converting our 3 way fridge to compressor.

Been trying to keep busy over the last 2 days so I started my compressor project. Mainly to save gas and the inconvenience of filling up, the compressor fridge will run off solar easily but even if the battery gets a bit low you can fit a resistor to the controller so it will switch off at 11v...
