RIP Ger & Ray ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”

Bless Ray. a proper funster, always up for a giggle.

I remember once, I was a Rally Marshal at a Rally, must have been around 16 years ago, a woman I didn't know, holding a bucket, rapped on my door and told me that I was out of order for making others walk a ยผ mile for water while I enjoyed a private supply. I told her I didn't understand a word she was saying. She pointed at a post at the edge of my pitch, a battered old post I'd not seen before that looked like it had been there 20 years, out of the ground came a pipe attached to the post connected to a new brass tap with a hose attached and dissapearing under my van. Underneath the tap was a professionally made sign, which read.

PRIVATE WATER SUPPLY
BUGGER OFF

His Water Post had 4, 6 inch nails at the bottom so Ray could stick it anywhere he liked for an instant most authentic water tap, what a giggle he had with it. Typical Ray. The Motorhome community has lost one of it's "Characters". RIP Mate

Ray was a lovely man , we met at Bawdsey Quay and later when he was volunteering and living in his van at Languard Fort in Felixstowe , he gave us a free guided tour around the fort RIP Ray. Life is too short ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

So very sorry to read this sad news, I will always remember meeting them in Scotland were he was so kind marking out on our map all the best places to stop, then going off taking. Photos of the local area to show Geri because she wasn't up to exploring herself what a lovely man, now at peace with his beloved Geri.
RIP RAY. a true funster.

always remember Ray And Geri, proper good laugh on our meets. together again, RIP

I didn't know the chap, or his late partner in crime, but sad news all the same, rest in peace old boy.

We met Geri and Ray at our very first Funster meet in 2009 at Waldegraves and kept in touch through the years and meeting up at various meets along the way. I always remember what notice they had on their van โ€œ if the vans a rocking, donโ€™t come knockingโ€. When Ray messaged us that Geri had passed away he was heart broken, they were so happy. Reunited with Geri once more, RIP Ray, keep on rocking you two ๐Ÿ’”
