HiWhat battery did you get?
If you have led lights it should only drop .1 to .3v of a volt. Dropping to 12.1 with a low load it sounds like it has been stored for quite a few months without being charged. I think you need to ask for a replacement.
At 23 KG. I cant see them lasting as long as the other options.!Hi
I went for the Hankook 110AH. I’m going to give it a charge tomorrow to see whether it holds. Lights aren’t led unfortunately as it’s a 13 year old van.
Thanks for all the advice

No they don't and even this would not necessary tell you how much lead there is in the plate. The best indication is weight as the battery size is more or less fixed. Although, ! have seen one video of a foreign leisure battery that when opened up had a steel block in the bottom to give it extra weight with half of the battery, lead plates. Nothing illegal in that as there is no defined national or international standard to define how a leisure battery should be built and with no controls like this in place the market is flooded with absolute crap. Great labelling with a great sales pitch misleading the majority of purchasers who end up getting ripped off. That's the main reason why one should keep to a manufacturer who produces his own leisure batteries and go for weight in a lead acid battery.Do any battery manufacturers quote plate thickness?
Perhaps we should start asking sellers.

Really ! Can you show me please !Yes, but not all manufacturers. Rolls for example, they publish all plate thicknesses and weight on most of their models. And the alloy is a trade secret.
Yep ! Its all there, even if discontinued. Not convinced its designed for a motorhome but you are right!Search Rolls surrette s480 pdf data and see for yourself. I’m on the phone and browsing is limited.
