That’s because there is a big proportion of scammers and other dodgy people using it. I think you have to be careful but my main problem is that the main line banks where I have my money, will not easily transfer cash into Revolut. I had to jump through so many hoops when away last time including speaking to fraud team which was difficult as my phone was not always getting a good enough signal to respond. I tried both Nat West and Santander and had to ring up and speak to a person in fraud team for both. I spent hours of frustration just trying to get my own money into my own Revolut account.Revolut customers say e-money firm failed them after being scammed
Revolut was named in more complaints about fraud last year than any of the UK’s biggest banks or e-money services.www.bbc.co.uk
I'm with Santander and never ever have an issue transferring funds to Revolut. From all parts of the world too. I do have apple pay set up on my phone, not sure if that helps. But maybe speak to Santander if you're having problems as once a payment has gone to Revolut there should never be problems again. That’s because there is a big proportion of scammers and other dodgy people using it. Now home, it has gone through on the app easily! So I am making sure I have enough cash in there in advance.

Yes, you can't help idiots who continue doing it either and expect others to cover their losses due to their own stupidity. All the scams with revolut I have read about involves customers giving passwords by mistake or downloading software onto laptops.

In February, Jack was in a co-working space when he received a phone call from a scammer pretending to be from Revolut. He was told he was being called because his account might have been compromised through being on shared Wi-Fi.
Jack was tricked into handing over enough information to allow the scammers to put his Revolut account onto their device. This meant they could see all his previous transactions, including a purchase at the online retailer Etsy that morning.
While Jack was still on the phone to the scammers, a text message from Revolut arrived, asking him to confirm the exact same amount he had spent - £21.98 - by typing in a six-digit security code.
He said, “Yes, that was me,” and read out the code to the scammers.

Yes they do now. That’s probably because Revolut don’t have a banking licence in the UK.
CarpmartNo they don’t. Revolut NewCo is in mobilisation, but Revolut is where customers money is held, a digital money company and it’s not got full bank status.
I can put up to £85k in Chase or Starling and have full protection, I can’t do that with either of Revolut entities. They are not a bank, not yet!

Just been looking at the chase account, how does there use of mastercard exchange rate compare to the exchange rate for revolut. The cash back might be a nice touch even at only 1% still better in our pocket but just wondering where they get that from, as theres nowt for nowt.
Can you use it to pay the fulli toll tag direct debit?
