For the short distance you can reverse with a Toad, has anyone looked into or uses a reversing camera on their Toad. I have been looking at the Auto Vox TW1 wireless camera and would welcome any experience you have with this, any other camera system or perhaps no camera at all - thanks

This is mine!
Another International, a good old tractor.
The one posted earlier was mine, I also had an old baler and my goodness the trouble to get the knotters to work consistently.
I had a Ferguson tipping trailer which was a piece of cake to reverse.

Reversing a TOAD is nothing like reversing trailer.
Single/centre axle trailers are (relatively) simple.
Trailers with a wheel in each corner are either turntable steered or Ackerman steered. Either way, the degree of caster on the front wheels is controlled by the angle of the drawbar. They ARE reversible but take practice.
The caster angle on a TOAD has no relation whatsoever to the angle of the a-frame/drawbar, you are not in control of it, it will go where it wants unless you’re going to just force it round and risk damaging steering arms, linkages, wheels/tyres, etc.

Just unhook it and drive them separately!

Check this ‘professional’ demonstrating it…

You cannot reverse a toad on a frame anymore than a few feet at a time, untold damage can be caused by lengthy reversing shown on some videos.

Knotters are an amazing work of engineering in themselves! Who ever worked out how to get a multitude of pieces of cast metal to tie knots in a piece of string then cut it at the right time was clever indeed… 👏

We used to have the same problem with the Binders Knotter, brilliant concept, pain in the A to fix!

You need to get on The Bidding Room! 🤣. Broken Link Removed

I know what your up to!
You want me to go on there, do all the hard work of selling and, when I push the price up, you will come along and, because you have (at least) two, you will take advantage of the situation!

PS. My roll was made by 'Harvest Moon' 50+yrs ago and has its name and Made in Britain on the cover.
(Yours could have been produced in China) :giggle:

I may be old but........I used to be a business man and want a commission contract BEFORE I go on TV!

I can’t boast a GB flag on mine but it can’t be made in China, I can understand the instructions!
Sounds like we’re a pair of bookends, I’m way past my BBD, and an ex businessman! 😜
