Replacing AGM with lithium

If you decide on a Victron shunt be aware they do 2 ranges, the Smart Shunt which you access via an app on your phone, and the BMV range which has a separate display. I fitted a BMV712 but rarely use the display, preferring to use the phone app. If I was doing it again would go for the Smart Shunt. Fitting the shunt is easy but the display comes with a long data cable so you can fit it quite a way away from the battery, however fitting the display and routing the data cable takes twice as long as fitting the shunt.

A big advantage of the BM712 it has a programmable relay, very useful for switching equipment on & off depending on battery SOC.

I dont know if anyone else has mentioned it but Amazon are selling Eco-Worthy batteries at silly money in the Black Friday sale eg best review 100ah x2 for £350 which is cconsiderably cheaper (1/2 price) than the best Gel batteries - see MK prices now !
Reviews put these batteries on a par with Renology esp for their BMS

Yes, I have been watching the trends on internet, especially Eco-Worthy. Do you think they are a good brand?

The reviews I have seen put them at the top along with Renology - it seems as if both makes have an excellent BMS with Renology just pipping Eco in that respect but loosing out overal to Eco - Worthy mostly on value for money. By the way Amazon is doing a 'Balancer' at about 1/2 price in the sale as well eg.

look for this on Amazon

But for 24V, I use 12V.

I fitted an Eco-Worthy 280AH in my mates van a month ago.
They are OK for the money but are not a "top" battery.
