Replacement Kitchen Water Tap (1 Viewer)

Hi all

If I wanted to replace my aging brass/gold kitchen tap in my old monstrosity of a Moho just to try and modernise things a little, is there something special i should be looking for, or will any kitchen tap do?

Depends what type of water system you have, micro switch in taps or pressure system also what size hole in the work top.

Pressure system i believe.

I believe you can use a Micro switch operated tap on a pressure operated system but not the other way round obviously. The Pressure operated system relies on a drop in pressure when opening the tap to start the pump. This would happen on eith type of tap, just means the microswitch wires are redundant if thats the model you choose.

If it’s a pressure system then any tap will do, I’ve used one we took out of the kitchen a few years ago. You just need to get the correct fittings from somewhere like Magnum Motorhomes

Original taps can be expensive, so if the hole is the right size you only need to possibly adapt water fittings to fit any tap if you don’t have need for microswitch.
