Replacement fridge (1 Viewer)

Hi, I've got an Electrolux RM 4213 3 way fridge.
It works on hook up ( I've been told) and when driving but doesn't work on gas, in fact, the gas knob and ignition seem to have been isolated as I can't push it in or turn the knob.
What would be a cheap straight swap that would work on gas and 12 v

I have the same fridge, also from 1995.
Firstly I would investigate why the ignition and gas control knob aren't functioning. Most spares are available if you search online.

On 12v it will require 100watts of power which is about 8 amps so unless you only run it on 12v when driving you'll need a substantial battery capacity and solar (and sunshine). Running on 12v it will only just maintain the

There are no 'cheap' replacement fridges. I don't think there are combination fridges that run only on gas and 12v as most usually are 3 way, i.e. with 230v as well as gas and 12v.
At a bikers' camp last week a pal had a stand-alone chest type cool box which ran on 12v or LPG.

The manual for your fridge gives the build-in dimensions (on page 5) which you will need to know if buying a replacement.

No, sorry Boyo. My 29 year old RM4213 has been fine for the 14 years that I've had it.

If the box is in decent nick, remove all the 3 way workings and fit a compressor kit on it
