McLouis Fusion 331 - the bung in the water tank is the original T-bar type but it doesn't expand quite enough to bung the outlet pipe! So it drips!

Thanks McLouis, your usual design genius.

The outlet pipe does not seem to be damaged (split).

Can anyone recommend a replacement? I'd rather not go for original - as it's pants. There's lots of bungs for boat transoms (whatever they are) but I'd rather go for one designed for a water tank as the materials are likely to be more suitable.

The existing bung expands to very nearly 25mm diameter. So the bung needs to expand to a little bit more than that!

Thanks,
Dave

What is the diameter of the bung before expansion? If you could find a rubber hose small enough to fit inside the outlet pipe and with an internal diameter big enough to allow the bung to expand properly, that would probably seal any leaks.

I got one of these:

Just the job - it even can even be adjusted to different diameter pipes!

Glad I paid a tenner for that rather than £35 for another example of the OEM piece of tat.

I think I've figured out motorhoming - chuck all the original fittings and replace with decent gear. Seems to be the only way with McLouis, anyway...
