Replace head unit Boxer 2017 - I may lose the will to live!

We use my iPad for music & google maps & it works ok. The rear view camera has packed up, & it started us thinking we need to replace the head unit with one with car play & a connection for a new rear view camera. We only want to pay up to £250 as we don’t want perfect sound, just less wires! We are now worried that the odometer will flash if we change the head unit over - we just want it all to work without further problems - plug & play! I have used the search function & read loads on here, but that seems to have confused me further! Can anyone recommend a cheap Chinese unit that will fit please?

Should arrive tomorrow, so I will try & remember to update when it’s fitted. We decided if it’s no good we can just send it back & put the old one back in for our next trip. Fingers crossed!

Im sure someone tried that the other day on here and when the new unit sent the mileage flashing he put the old 1 back but the mileage carried on flashing

I've tried similar in a Fiat500 and gave up with all the extra adaptors and wiring! Finally using one like this as links to phone and so will do SatNav, stream music etc and leaves the original head unit alone. It can be aux or Bluetooth or FM transmitted from unit to head unit.

I put one of these in. It's more like a tablet than s radio and does everything natively. I don't need to connect my phone, it just connects permanently to the van WiFi. Very happy.

It's currently £230 on Amazon. But you also have to buy a connector to talk to the Ducato. Thats about £90, but you may need that with quite a few units anyway

After paying an eyewatering £600 our all singing all dancing system didnt.....two revisits to get the phones to link...another to sort DAB, still wasn't properly sorted, manual only within unit on screen , not really useful when your trying to set things up, a few other issues and we decided on a full refund and original re fitted that's when mileage started flashing , don't know if original went into different wiring that the new one hadn't used because there was no issue with new one in. So booked into Peugeot for £90 proxy alignment.
