Replace Gas Regulator?

I think only Truma do the regulators with crash protection, though I would like to be proved wrong. If I am right this rather limits your options.
Yep, fairly certain it is, so it's the only one you can use if you want to drive with the gas on. Also the only one that supports the C Remote unit which gives remote indication of when the gas bottles change over.

This picture may explain what im trying to say... ita a regulator i opened that had failed.. the picture shows the green button mechanism on the right
( though i accept you cant actually see the green button:LOL: )
Pressing it simply lifts the fulcrum lever the shut off valve is attached to..
Thus i imagine restoring the gas pressure in the regulator..
It was my belief that this type of regulator had to be installed with the correcthose on the outlet side of the regulator..

Its quite clear that it doesnt operate as a crash detection valve like the ones they are advertising now..

@Lenny HB what made you go for that rather than a spare bulkhead regulator?

While on the subject of regulator spares/replacements, I have a 37Mb regulator screwed directly into my Gaslow. I keep this as I also have a Calor cylinder as back-up, but unused in 10 years, but changeover would be easy if needed.

Are these 38Mb regulators with 21.8mm LH threads still readily availabe?

If not easily obtainable maybe I should get one now. And maybe fit it and keep the existing one as spare - it must be 16 years old.

I am just quoting my own post above to bump it, as I have not had any answer.
