I found this on the DVLA website, it says that at the moment because of Covid-19 you do not have to provide a medical Report D4 When you renew a C1 because of reaching 70. Has anyone done this and is it true, or have I missed something or ended up on the wrong page?

Renew your driving licence if you're 70 or over

You cannot use this service to renew a C1 (medium-sized vehicles) or D1 (minibus) entitlement - you must do this by post.

That link (I didn't manage to preserve it as a link here) for renewing a C1 takes you to this page:

Renew or change a lorry or bus licence

If you’re 45 or over

Because of coronavirus (COVID-19), you currently do not need to provide a medical report (form D4) to apply to renew your licence.
If your application is successful, you’ll get a 1 year licence.

Had a medical 3 years ago from Doc4 or similar.............. it was a 'joke'........... a 'nurse' in a portacabin asking questions, signed off by a'doctor' - not present..............

The treadmill at the NHS was something else, I was well and truly knackered after

- what has 15 minutes walking, jogging. running got to do with driving? - some 20 year olds would fail !

OK - I 'knew' (thought) I was OK..... I am of course...

..... or coming to an accident near you?

Ask the wife if she would.....

If the stress test was part of getting any licence at anytime - then that's ok - it's not.............

............sitting on your backside for hours on end............ not relevant

Could not agree more barclaybasher,
but have personally just been through this performance myself
The DVLA have the final word on whether or not I and the rest of us get our C1 issued
and they make the rules
I even had my NHS cardiologist ring their medical team cardio doctor
after the conversation my NHS cardio rang me to say "this lot are impossible to deal with"
if it is not in their script then there is no discussion or reasoning allowed

Don’t forget anyone who have had a new license either 10 year or C1 you have to get a new international licence as it only covers the licence it was issued against.

i thought that the need for international licenses in the EU was no longer required !...
your UK license was still valid.
