I'm a newbie
How easy is it to remove a Hymer bike rack fitted onto the rear?
I am trying to add a motorbike rack onto the tow-bar but the bike rack would be in the way.
I am worried about letting damp in.
Thanks for any advice,
Lloyd.

It all depends what make(bike rack)
But just leave the fittings in place

That was quick!

Thanks - I dont get the Hymer until tomorrow but thought I would ask,
Lloyd.

If it is like the one on my Hymer it is easy! I have just removed mine as I am going on a trip and not taking bikes this time. Two bolts secure the rack to an angle piece that stays in place on the Hymer, the rack then just lifts off from the two brackets at the top from which it hangs.

Looking at a picture I think mine is the same, all will be revealed tomorrow,
Thanks,
Lloyd.

I took ours off as we don't use it and it looked absolutely rubbish, hope you have more luck.

I have bought one on ebay for mine thinking it would go straight onto the existing fittings only to find I need to change the spacing. Just another job on the list.

as he said... it's 10 min job..
I removed mine before going to France .. it's also a ready made roof access ladder for illegals to climb on
