many many years! since I was a kid
you need what is called a toffee wheel in a drill or you need to use alcohol to thin the glue, then a cutting compound to restore the bleached areas not covered by stickers

I recently took an AnglesMort sticker and nothing normal I tried would work on the residue until I tried “AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover” that took it straight off.

I take them off as soon as I leave France and put them back onto the backing paper for next time. saves the paint.

Ive done this, only removed the silver stickers along one side prior to replacement, took a whole day, only thing that did any good was the toffee wheel. Also tried, meths, various sticky stuff remover, T cut etc. Mind they had been on 20 years.

Just upgraded my Adria stickers to 3d gel, lot nicer on the eye. Simply warmed up the old stickers with a heat gun, or hair dryer work's if not, will allow the glue to stay on sticker, not on panel, then go over with alcohol wipe before fitting new one's. You can even mask up a template and clean inside it.
Look's ace now 👌
