Not going to work. No space really for a U bend, unless I lose a lot of the shelf space underneath the basin, and where would I then put my spare loo roll? But no real access to the side of the van, unless I'm going to start pulling out a lot of the wall panelling. I could just about get into that bit with a long, thin, electricians cable pulling rod when I uprated my solar wiring from the roof, but a hose over 1" thick is a whole different challenge.

I meant do not put a upend in the pipe due to it being too long

You can get to the back of mine just through the grill or by taking out the fridge

I fitted daveake adapter this afternoon. Like others I used a flexible drive to take out the old brackets as I didn't fancy cutting the lugs. Very straightforward, the whole job took about 20 minutes and Mrs Southend is delighted to be able to clean behind the sink.
