After a recent chat with beachwomble about our love of Remoska ovens :giggle: I did a search & spotted this well priced black coated aluminium version direct from Remoska https://www.remoska.co.uk/products/remoska®-prima-glass-2l?variant=43806710071511 with a 3 year guarantee & free delivery at £99.99 that may suit anyone that who want one right now.

As we use a stainless steel pan inside both our Standard (for motorhome) & Grand (at home) we may be tempted to buy the newer version (to able to use the full capacity) Remoska Dua which is triply stainless steel https://www.remoska.co.uk/products/remoska-dua-2l at some point.

We would hopefully be able to use one of our Tefal Ingenio lids so wouldn't have to carry the Remoska glass one, the pan would replace one of our existing stainless steel ones & like that the lead detaches for easier storage. These ovens are very expensive atm (2L £189.99 4L £209.99) but now that Remoska is selling direct to consumer in the UK & there are other stockists, not just Lakeland, let's hope the prices will get more competitive.
There is an ebay seller Direct Vacuums selling refurbs at £119.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/36497435...pid=5339023013&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1 with just a 1 year guarantee.

Just one "New" Dua stainless steel 2L but repackaged with 1 year warranty left https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14575678...pid=5339023013&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1 - price has dropped to £109.99 but I just succumbed :blusher: & bought one at £98.99 - PM me if you want to know how to get the extra reduction.
If refurb (possibly used) condition is preferable at lower cost then there is also just one at £99.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/36497435...pid=5339023013&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1 & again can get it down to £89.99 delivered.

Karen, Many Thanks for this Remoska update, we have the the normal Remoska not the Grand one.
I know you must be chuffed with the new SS model as I know you hate using anything Aluminium.(y)
Its difficult for me to appreciate the difference in the Pan depth between the two models as the height quoted is the overall height, and the 4 ltr model has a larger circumference pan. The normal one we have restricts us in cooking joints & chickens because of its shallow depth, plus we have to use a tin foil cartouche when warming up things like pasties & sausage rolls to stop the pastry being burnt to a crisp! A bit more depth might help prevent this from happening or will it?
Many Thanks, missing you both, haven't been able to go on Fun meets recently.

Hi Les ( & Tina :hi:) - often read your posts on here & hope we do all catch up again sometime. The Dua is on it's way so will post more about it once received & we've tried it out :) Do prefer to cook in stainless steel rather than in aluminium pans &/or those with non-stick coatings whenever viable - currently use additional triply stainless steel pans (good but reduce capacity) inside both our Remoska pans so looking forward to using the full 2L capacity in our new Dua for the motorhome.
We regularly cook a whole chicken in the 4L Grand - well done with crispy skin - we just remove any ties & push down on the top to break the bones supporting the cavity so reducing the depth so nothing in contact to get burnt & do rotate it once or twice during cooking. Not had smaller items burn in either size Remoska & no need to cover anything so perhaps yours is a bit turbo?! Not tried any of the deeper pans but think they might work better for slow cooking rather than be as good or faster than a standard electric oven as the Remoska lids are with the normal depth pans.

Just starting out
Our Moho has no oven so we rely on gaslow and hob for cooking. Is there anything recommended for gas cooking? We are getting a ridgemonkey, what else could we cook with?
TIA.

The Omnia is the other popular option https://www.omniasweden.com/en/ for gas hobs - lots of discussion on threads if you search on this on here & shop around online for UK stockist or supplier.

Tefal Non Stick Glass Lid Deep Saute Pan is the answer for us cooking anything on a hob, home or van.
Dont know how we would survive without a couple of these. They Come in different sizes also, we prefer the 28 for the van as that allows us to use the other rings.
PS: They Last years if looked after, no scouring needed.(y)

Our dreams of a Remoska Dua have been put on hold - we were sent a Tria by mistake & no more stock of the Dua! 😥
