Remoska on sale at Lakeland

My rack came Wednesday but no Remoska yet☹
Rang up yesterday and was told it had been dispatched, nothing from Hermes to say they have it!!

Spoke to soon,
Went to go out and there was a box outside the door🙁
Me, Mrs CC and 2 mad Jack Russell’s in the house and nobody heard anything.

Think these delivery drivers are loving this Covid, good excuse for them to just dump the parcels and do one!

And just had an email from Hermes to say parcel will be delivered between 4-5😂

It’s first test doing the veggies to accompany grilled Salmon for our evening meal 👍🍷🍷🍷🍷

Gave mine a test run this afternoon and it got up to 190 on our little temperature gauge we have.
Probably good enough for most meals.

Have all that ordered one at the sale price found a box of Remoska branded baking papers in the box, they are reusable and are priced at £14.45 per box of 10 on Amazon, ouch. Makes the Remoska a good buy 👍

Went out to check that they haven’t sent another one😁 nope no such luck🙁

Bit the bullet and bought one the other day at the sale price ,also using my Lakeland £10 off voucher . Been tempted to buy one for years. Now to find space for it at home and in the van

As far as looking for storage space to store the Remoska in your motorhome, I'd recommend you store it with the lid in place on the bottom pan.

The reason I say this is because to start with, I stored the top and bottom separately, but something must have put pressure on the side of the pan and pushed it out of shape, so until we'd corrected the bottom pan, the lid wouldn't fit.

It's fine now as we store it all together which gives the bottom pan some protection and strength.

have always stored ours together, the pans do dent if dropped out the van onto hardstanding,we did get it back ito enough shape for the lid to fit and worked fine for years, is stil working, but have bought a new one as the glass insert in the lid was getting loose.

Really must try them i do love jackets but never made in the remoska. it is great for part baked bread and croissants too. I like cooking veg in the bottom and putting salmon wrapped in foil on top once the veg are partly cooked.
use it loads over winter at home, the one we have for home that is. Come Christmas we usally have one for the vegan vegs, does for grandson with galactosaemia too, and brilliant goosefat roasties in the other for the rest of us, apart from my folding stool is the best thing I have in the van, and possibly at home too.

I've done jackets a couple of times in the motorhome but still takes about an hour so best if you're on EHU; have done on the inverter once but not something I'd do again unless the sun was charging really well.

Also agree about storing the lid on top of the base as definitely goes out of shape easily; but not as easy to get back into shape.

I had a Remoska a few years ago but didn't get on with it. Didn't have the glass window in the lid and I didn't like not being able to see what was going on. I found it cumbersome, my early results weren't good and I just didn't persevere. Sold it to a Funster.

Have just bought another MH after a break and decided to buy another with this offer and give it a proper go this time. Sadly didn't see the info to get further 10% off. Well I have to say I'm already a convert! I've used it at home for all sorts even bread which I've never had much success with (I'm not the best cook!!). Its my go-to method for rice or veggies and tomorrow I'm cooking a whole chicken but may have to bash it to fit in? I'll get a rack, wish I'd ordered it at the same time.

It will be easier to store and use in the MH than our halogen oven which has gone to a good home via FB Marketplace. So thanks to OP for sharing this deal.

Know what you mean  just basic food. My approach this time is whatever I'm cooking, try it in the Remoska. Haven't had any disasters *yet*. I'll be trying a curry from scratch soon. I was worried about the lack of temperature control but it doesn't seem to be a problem, in fact it makes everything much simpler.

Did wonder about the temperature control, I put our thermometer in the Remoska and it came up to 195.
Just seems strange to us to cook everything at the same temperature but a bit of trial and error on the way.
