Remis front blinds fouling rear view mirror

Fitted mine to Fiat Ducato and the only thing i need to do is move the mirror to face flat with the windscreen and not angled.
Sorry but I don't understand. What do you mean please?

Why don't you fit the mount upside down and where the cutout is?
I'm pretty sure the mirror itself is on a ball joint. You should end up with the mirror in roughly the same place

If you do need to remove the mirror and relocate as others have said a little bit of heat with a hairdryer softens the adhesive then use a length of dental floss and gently use a sawing action back and forth to remove mirror.

Sounds like the blinds are the wrong type for the Fiat. I have no rear windows but bought a Fiat mirror off ebay just to mount my rear view camera monitor too. My remis blinds cut out aligns perfectly with the stalk & blinds close properly.

Do take care if trying to remove the mirror mount. I had a bad experience a few years ago with an old sports car. Trying to replace the rvm with an after market auto dimming one which required removal of the existing stick on mount. I was a bit ham fisted and hadnt softened the adhesive enough such that force of removing the mount using the stalk as a handle caused the windscreen to crack. Local windscreen depot replaced the screen & fitted the new mirror mount. But the angle of the new mirror I bought wasnt right so I bought another . Again tried to remove the mount & yep … crack again! 2 windscreens in the same week! Got there in the end though 😁.

Our Remis blinds are also fouling on the rearview mirror stem and will no longer fully shut
🙁
See photo.
My fault for buying the mirror I guess but it's a genuine Fiat part so I didn't anticipate any issues.
Has anyone found a solution please?
The blind uprights are aluminium U-shaped channel and have been cut away where shown to accomodate a mirror stem but the cutouts are too low for mine. I fear that cutting out another section just above would weaken the channel too much.
I will be using the mirror to hold the screen of a rearview camera and dashcam - once I can decide what to buy.

Our blinds have a section on the drivers side that folds flat when you close the blind to accommodate the mirror, maybe move your mirror down to have stem in middle of the gap you have.

Thanks for the responses - much appreciated.
I had a look where the mirror would sit if I moved the screen mount down and its unacceptable, sadly. It puts the mirror almost in the middle of the screen- way too far down.
Turning the uprights upside down makes this worse with the mirror even lower.
O'Leary Motorhomes don't have the correct uprights and I haven't found them elsewhere so I am back to looking at modding the existing uprights..
I found a supplier for the smaller sliding pieces and am awaiting delivery - Royal Mail allowing.
Does anyone know how the concertina blind material attaches to the uprights - is it stuck to them or does it clip in in some way? I am worried that I might damage the material when cutting the supporting uprights if I leave it attached.

Nipped out to the van , took a photo for you 😀 looks like it’s pushed over and fixed in with glue ?

We had these blinds in our Ducato, cheap and nasty things

Certainly not cheap ;-) Ours work well and do their job. Very easy to use. Is there an alternative? Not that I am looking to change mine.

So what expensive , non nasty blinds do you have?

We had Remis but , they creased, magnets that kept the front screen halves together seemed weak , best ones we had were on a A Class that came down vertical they may have been Remis make , at present we don't have any as the so and so Motorhome on order has no firm delivery date and no doubt they will have the Remis slide to the middle blinds !!

Soooooo? Cheap and nasty…….?
