Refillable bottles

If you are worried about being challenged about filling gas and diesel at the same station
Simply fill diesel at one service station and LPG at another

I also wonder if Morrisons are a little confused about cylinders that are safe to fill and the trade marked Safefill bottles. If questioned you could just tell the attendant they are Safteyfill Alugas, or Safteyfill Gaslow or whatever. :) I would guess they would never know the difference or question it.

Hi .I too am considering Safefill as an option. However for the past 6 weeks since lookong both Safefill, and other suppliers seem permanently out of stock. Any ideas where I can get one ? Thanks

Safefill took delivery a few days ago and are now shipping out to sellers... Spoke with them on Friday (y) I have been waiting a while to buy a second bottle..

HOWEVER. I found these guys and have same bottles unbranded, in stock and cheaper. They have the 80% overfill device fitted.

Filled yesterday at Leclerc in Ruffec (Charente), not for the first time, with a French registered motorhome and Madame from the Caisse came over to inspect the gas bottles before turning on the lpg pump. Only R67 labeled and permanently installed bottles can be filled on site.

Yeh but you can’t run tanks on a Diesel engine so I’m stuck in trying to pull the wool over someone’s eyes.
Don't understand?? Morrisons don't care how it's burned. Professionally installed tanks are used for either propulsion or domestic use.

The only time I have been asked why I am filling an obvious diesel with gas, I told them it was for on board generator ( which does not exist )

Would the filling point be an issue if it’s fitted the opposite side to the fuel filler, would that be a dead giveaway.
I think you are overthinking this and making it a problem. I only have one problem with supermarkets and that is which one do gas, Morrisons mostly do but the others do not. I have never been refused as they are all happy when you plug into a socket on the side.. trying to fill loose and obvious bottles would be a no no, same as trying to fill fuel cans over two gallons or the wrong type.
