Recommendations for camp site/Aires Lake Annecy

We have booked a week there mid June like @St piran we are going to take it easy and chill for a week.

Yes this is Le Lac Bleu, my van is 7.8m and I’ve had no problems, a bit tight on some pitches but never failed, seen tag axles too.
I’d book with the size of the mh and they’ll advise you. They speak good English so might be worth giving them a bell.
@Rob Turner is Le Lac Bleu in the acsi book, can't find it, do you know the ref number if it is, thanks

After reading another thread on air critique in France, what's the general consensus on whether to get one for Annecy?

For 4 quid you might aswell just get one.

I know I can sometimes be particularly thick and today is one of those days. I have been onto the Air Critique website and all I can see is €26.95 for a ZCR - I can't see anything for the ZPD. Does anyone have a link?
Next, if you're travelling through several of these regions, do you need one for each region or is it a national one?
Last, do i need one for the scooter or is it transferable? I think i need one for each. I don’t find the website very user friendly or clear, just generalisations.
Like i said, I'm in a really stupid mode today.

I looked on the RAC website about the rules on critair, but then you go on the French website to buy the critair sticker, it tells you which one you need for the right emissions of your Motorhome, it’s only 4 euros something

Has anybody got any camp sites\aires they can recommend as near as possible to Lake Annecy, we want somewhere for a week close to the lake, not been before so any site would be great, and route down to lake, non tolls.
Many thanks
We are going to lake annecy leaving Dover 22nd may stopping over night half way there , still thinking about which route to take . Happy to go the toll free route possibly lux way , no rush but would like good roads and nice scenery . Any tips on routes much appreciated.

I like the old intinerie BIS route from Troyes. First bit on the motorway from Calais. I’ll see if I can dig out the map

May see you there. We are planning to head that way around mid May but meandering down. Au Couer du Lac followed by Camping l’Aloua are top picks atm but subject to change. Have an IOU from P&O but if I get that refunded may change to the Dieppe crossing or perhaps try the Tunnel.

We stayed on the municipal campsite (I think)
Le Belvedere? It was close to the town but a walk down hill and then back up to the campsite. There was no pool but it’s closeness to the town won it for us as we were only there for 2 days to visit the town.
+1 on that

We have stayed at the Aire Le Bout de Lac in the past and its around 400/500 mtrs from Camping Lac Bleu. Plenty of EHU points and two service areas from memory one is height limited to 3.2mtrs but the other is over 4mtrs. Nice cycle track into Annecy and not far from the lake. The site is an organic farm and they sell locally grown fruit and veg. When we last stayed there (pre covid) they even had a camper cleaning service - oh and they look after neglected donkeys. GPS Position: North 45.793169 East 06.213402

+1 for Le Lac Bleu, it is beautiful and in the perfect location, you get to see lots of people jumping off mountains with parachutes and performing aerobatics all day every day, a day trip on the ferry to Annecy provides a beautiful day out with stunning views and scenery and there are lots and lots of opportunities for walking, riding etc.

It takes ACSI Club ID but is not an ACSI site, the site next door is ACSI but is nowhere near as nice, we have ACSI and each time we have preferred to pay extra and stay at Le Lac Bleu.

Cheers
Red.

We are heading for Annecy a few days before you. Thinking were might head, initially anyway, for Sevrier which is nicely halfway to Annecy from the bottom of the lake end. Provisional stops en route are just south of St Quentin, Laon, Dijon/Dole.

Just back from a weekend there. Stayed at Les Rives du Lac, small site with private beach, well run and nice facilities but one of the pricier sites at Annecy.

Everyone seems to recommends the Luxembourg route , I see you are taking the shortest

Don't think the current fuel price differential makes much difference after the extra mileage. Last trip was Black Forest so thought a different route might be nice. May return that way but not sure yet.
